- Jamal Anderson: The ESPN First Take NFL analyst was arrested in Atlanta on drug charges. Police caught Anderson, formerly of the Atlanta Falcons, “sniffing powder cocaine off the toilet tank” in a men’s bathroom. Anderson was booked “for felony possession of cocaine … [and] cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.”
- Scott Van Pelt: The SportsCenter anchor will serve a suspension from his ESPN Radio show on Monday, according to Deadspin. Apparently, Van Pelt was suspended for unleashing a rant on MLB Commissioner Bud Selig on his radio show that “was ‘too personal’ for some of the ESPN bosses.” Among other things, Van Pelt referred to Selig as a “pimp“, and said Selig’s house likely has “plastic on sofas and it would smell bad.”
- Andrew Magee: The Golf Channel on-course reporter has been suspended after making a suggestive remark during the network’s coverage of last week’s FBR Open. Magee says he “believed he was off the air” when he repeated a dirty joke on he saw on a fan’s t-shirt to fellow analyst Gary McCord.
