ESPN saw a double-digit rise in the overnights for Monday’s Steelers/Broncos tilt.
The Steelers’ win over the Broncos drew a 10.7 overnight rating on ESPN Monday night, up 14% from a 9.4 for Steelers/Washington during Week 9 last year.
That Steelers/Washington game — which featured halftime interviews with Barack Obama and John McCain on the eve of the ’08 presidential election — ended up as the second-most viewed Monday night game of the season.
The 10.7 overnight is the highest for Monday Night Football since Packers/Vikings drew a 14.2 in early October.
The game drew a massive 51.3 in Pittsburgh (18.9 on ESPN, 32.4 on a local affiliate) and a 36.7 in Denver (17.0 on ESPN, 19.7 on a local affiliate).
