Updated ratings and viewership information for Sunday’s NFL Conference Championship games are already available. But first, a look at the overnights, including a 14-year high for the early window.
The Packers/Bears NFC Championship Game drew a 30.0 overnight rating on FOX Sunday afternoon, up 6% from last year’s early Conference Championship game (NYJ/IND: 28.4, CBS), and up 25% from 2009 (ARI/PHI: 24.0, FOX).
The 30.0 is the highest for the early Conference Championship window since the 1996-97 season (GB/CAR: 30.6, FOX).
Compared to last year’s NFC Championship Game, which aired in the late window, Sunday’s matchup was down 10% (MIN/NO: 33.3, FOX).
This marks the third-highest overnight for the NFC title game since the aforementioned ’97 edition, behind only last year and 2008 (NYG/GB: 31.7, FOX).
The Packers’ win earned a 57.0 rating in the Milwaukee market, tied as the market’s third-highest rating ever for an NFL telecast on FOX. In Chicago, the game drew a 50.6, a record for an NFL telecast on FOX in the market, and a higher rating than the Bears’ loss in Super Bowl XLI (IND/CHI: 50.2).
