TBS scored increases in overnight ratings for all three of its MLB postseason games Tuesday, led by a substantial rise for Yankees/Tigers.
Tuesday’s Game 4 between the Yankees and Tigers earned a 5.2 overnight rating on TBS, up 33% from the comparable game on the fifth day of last year’s postseason (PHI/CIN G3: 3.9). The 5.2 also marks an 8% improvement over Monday’s Game 3 (4.8).
Keep in mind last year’s game aired on a Sunday night in a slightly earlier timeslot (8 PM ET).
Yankees/Tigers was not the only game of the day to have an increase from last year. Earlier Tuesday, Phillies/Cardinals Game 3 earned a 3.8 overnight, up 19% from last year (SF/ATL G3: 3.2).
Additionally, the deciding Game 4 of the Rangers/Rays series scored a 1.9 overnight, up a tick from last year (TB/TEX G4: 1.8).
Over on TNT, the primetime Brewers/Diamondbacks Game 3 earned an ugly 1.3 overnight, though that game faced competition from Yankees/Tigers.
