The Chicago Blackhawks set yet another ratings record on CSN Chicago. In other news, ratings for the St. Louis Blues have increased dramatically this season, and the NFL Combine had a modest increase on NFL Network.
Blackhawks Break Record For Fourth Time This Season
- Thursday’s Blackhawks/Blues NHL regular season game earned a 7.54 rating on Comcast SportsNet Chicago, the highest rating ever for a Blackhawks regular season game on the network. The previous record was a 7.41 for Canucks/Blackhawks on February 19. Sixteen of the 17 highest rated Blackhawks games on CSN Chicago have aired this season alone, with all-time records being set on four different occasions. So far this season, CSN Chicago has averaged a 5.53 rating for Blackhawks games, up 91% from the same number of games last season. (csnchicago.com)
Blues Ratings Up Dramatically
- St. Louis Blues telecasts have averaged a 5.0 rating on Fox Sports Midwest so far this season, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, up 144% from the same number of games last year. The average does not include Thursday’s game against the Blackhawks. This season is on pace to finish as the highest rated ever for the Blues on FS Midwest, topping last year’s record (3.5). NFL Combine Up Double-Digits on NFL Network
- NFL Network averaged 268,000 viewers for four-day coverage of the 2013 NFL Combine, up 10% from last year (244K), and a new record. The network set individual viewership records for coverage of the Combine on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, but Sunday’s coverage (392K) was down 13% from last year (450K).
