ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball” hit a season-low in viewership last weekend. In other news, the NASCAR Nationwide Series from Charlotte declined from last year, and CBS also saw declines for PGA Tour coverage at Colonial.
Season-Low For ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball”

Nationwide Series at Charlotte Down on ABC
- The NASCAR Nationwide Series History 300 from Charlotte, the first race of the season on broadcast TV, earned a 1.5 final rating and 2.2 million viewers on ABC last Saturday — down 12% in ratings and 14% in viewership from last year (1.7, 2.6M), and down 6% and 10%, respectively, from 2011 (1.6, 2.5M). The final round had the highest median age of any sports program on broadcast last weekend (63). On Saturday, third round action drew a 0.9 and 1.2 million — down 25% in ratings from last year (1.2), and down 18% and 21%, respectively, from 2011 (1.1, 1.6M).
