Little League World Series Ends With Six-Year High
- Sunday’s Little League World Series championship game earned a 2.5 final rating and 3.9 million viewers on ABC, up 32% in ratings and 40% in viewership from last year (1.9, 2.8M), and up 4% and 2%, respectively, from 2011 (2.4, 3.9M). The 2.5 rating is the highest for the title game since 2007 (3.3), and the third-highest since the game moved into the early afternoon in 2005. Overall, the LLWS averaged a 0.9 U.S. rating and 1.3 million viewers on the ESPN family of networks, up 13% in ratings and viewership from last year (0.8, 1.1M). (ESPN)
Just Over 300K For “Olbermann” Premiere
- The series premiere of the ESPN2 late night talk show “Olbermann” earned 319,000 viewers Monday night. The second episode on Tuesday earned 200,000. By comparison, the 11 PM ET edition of “SportsCenter” drew 633,000 viewers on Monday and 665,000 on Tuesday. (ESPN)
“Nine For IX” Ends With Series-High
- The ESPN documentary “Branded” earned 633,000 viewers Tuesday night, the largest audience of the “Nine For IX” documentary series. The previous high was 548,000 viewers for “Runner” two weeks earlier. According to Sports Business Daily, the “Nine For IX” series averaged 446,000 viewers.
