A lopsided final score led to the lowest rated Dallas Cowboys game on NBC in three years.
The Week 10 Cowboys/Saints “Sunday Night Football” game drew a 12.3 final rating and 21.1 million viewers on NBC last week, down 1% in ratings and up 1% in viewership from Texans/Bears last year (12.4, 20.9M), and down 5% and up 1%, respectively, from Patriots/Jets in 2011 (12.9, 20.9M).
The Cowboys’ 32-point loss ranks as the team’s lowest rated and least-viewed “SNF” appearance since Week 9 in 2010, when their 38-point loss to the Packers drew an 11.6 and 19.4 million.
Sunday’s game was the eighth of eleven “SNF” telecasts this season to have a decline in ratings, and just the fourth to have an increase in viewership. In addition, the game marked just the second time in six tries this season that “SNF” has beaten the NFL singleheader on FOX.
Among adults 18-49, “SNF” drew a 7.8 rating — down a tick from last year (7.9), and down 4% from 2011 (8.1).
