ESPN Names Darke Lead Voice For World Cup
- ESPN announced Wednesday that soccer play-by-play voice Ian Darke will be the lead voice of the network’s 2014 World Cup coverage, replacing Martin Tyler. ESPN and Tyler, who was the voice of the 2010 World Cup, mutually agreed to part ways. The 2014 World Cup is the last on ESPN before Fox Sports begin televising FIFA events in 2015. - Former figure skater Nancy Kerrigan has joined NBC Sports as an analyst for the upcoming Olympic figure skating tournament, it was announced announced Tuesday.
