“Fox Sports Live” Sets Sunday Record, Crushed By Competition
- Fox Sports 1 averaged 282,000 viewers for the Super Bowl post-game edition of “Fox Sports Live” Sunday night, the largest audience ever for a Sunday edition of the show. Phoenix Open Solid on Super Bowl Sunday, Still Down
- Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Phoenix Open earned a 2.3 final rating and 3.6 million viewers on CBS, down 18% in ratings and 17% in viewership from last year on NBC (2.8, 4.3M), but up 15% and 17%, respectively, from 2012 (2.0, 3.1M). On Saturday, third round action drew a 2.0 and 2.7 million — up 5% and flat in viewership from last year (1.9, 2.7M), and flat and down 11%, respectively, compared to 2012 (2.0, 3.1M). - NBC earned a 0.7 final rating and 1.1 million viewers for the Red Wings/Capitals NHL regular season game last Sunday, down 22% in ratings and 28% in viewership from Penguins/Capitals last year (0.9, 1.5M). NBC did not air a Super Bowl Sunday game in 2012. (Sports Business Daily)
