ESPN Adds Hipgrave to World Cup Anchor Team
- BT Sport presenter Lindsey Hipgrave has joined ESPN as a host for the network’s 2014 World Cup coverage, it was announced Monday. Hipgrave will replace Chris Fowler in ESPN’s World Cup host rotation; Bob Ley and Mike Tirico will reprise their roles from 2010. (ESPN Media Zone)
ESPN Moves Maria Taylor to SEC Network
- ESPN announced last week that sideline reporter Maria Taylor has joined the new SEC Network as part of a multi-year contract extension. Taylor will primarily serve as a studio host for SEC Network “news and information programming,” as well as a sideline reporter on the network’s lead college football team and an analyst for volleyball and women’s basketball coverage. Schilling Completes Radiation Treatments
- ESPN MLB analyst Curt Schilling, who has missed the beginning of the season after being diagnosed with cancer in February, has completed chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
