Tigers Ratings Down Double-Digits
- Regular season Detroit Tigers games have averaged a 7.53 rating on Fox Sports Detroit, down 17% from the comparable period last year (9.0). Despite the decline, the Tigers are reportedly “on pace” to lead all MLB teams in local TV ratings this season. (crainsdetroit.com)
Red Sox/Yankees Up on ESPN
- The Red Sox/Yankees Sunday Night Baseball game earned 2.6 million viewers on ESPN last week, up 27% from Yankees/Orioles last year (2.1M) and the fourth-largest MLB audience of the season on any network. NBCSN Sets Record For First Half of 2014
- NBCSN averaged 203,000 viewers per day from January to June, up 86% from last year (109K) and the network’s highest average ever for the first half of the year (previously VERSUS and OLN). The previous record was 126,000 viewers for the first half of 2009. Excluding the Winter Olympics, NBCSN still set a viewership record with 150,000 per day. (NBC Sports Group Press Box)
