ESPN Extends Deal With Briscoe
- ESPN NASCAR anchor Nicole Briscoe has agreed to a multi-year deal to remain with the network beyond the expiration of its NASCAR contract this year. Starting January, Briscoe will begin working as an anchor for SportsCenter and other ESPN programming. ESPN previously held onto NASCAR lap-by-lap voice Allan Bestwick, who will call IndyCar races and college football games. (ESPN Media Zone)
Carter Blackburn Returns to CBS
- CBS Sports has re-hired play-by-play voice Carter Blackburn, most recently of ESPN. Blackburn will serve as the lead voice of college football and basketball on CBS Sports Network and the #2 voice for SEC games on the CBS broadcast network. He previously worked for CBSSN (originally CSTV) from 2003-09. (CBS Sports)
ESPN’s Lewis to Host Reality Show
- ESPN NFL analyst Ray Lewis has been named the co-star of a new sports reality show in which he will give anger management advice to out-of-control coaches. The show, titled Coaching Bad, is expected to premiere on Spike TV next year. (TV By the Numbers)
