Both games of last week’s NFL on FOX doubleheader had declines in both ratings and viewership.
The Week 11 NFL national window, featuring Eagles/Packers in 84% of markets, drew a 15.1 final rating and 26.5 million viewers on FOX, down 3% in ratings and 2% in viewership from coverage featuring 49ers/Saints last year (15.5, 26.9M) but up 4% and 12%, respectively, from coverage on CBS featuring Colts/Patriots in 2012 (14.5, 23.6M).
It was the second straight NFL national window to have a decline in ratings and viewership after an increase in the overnights.
Keep in mind the featured Eagles/Packers game was a blowout, with Green Bay winning by 33 points. Despite the blowout and the decline, the national window was easily the top NFL telecast of the week — cruising past second-place Sunday Night Football (11.9, 19.9M).
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Seahawks/Chiefs in 49% of markets drew an 8.3 final rating and 13.9 million viewers — down 10% and 9%, respectively, from Washington/Eagles last year (9.2, 15.3M).
