The Cowboys and Eagles delivered an unsurprisingly strong audience to NBC last week.
The Week 15 Cowboys/Eagles Sunday Night Football game drew a 14.3 final rating and 24.3 million viewers on NBC, up 44% in ratings and 48% in viewership from Bengals/Steelers last year (9.9, 16.4M) and up 3% and 4%, respectively, from 49ers/Patriots in 2012 (13.9, 23.2M).
The Cowboys’ win ranks as the highest rated and most-watched NFL telecast on NBC since the Packers/Seahawks season opener (15.5, 26.9M). It also had the largest year-over-year increase in ratings and viewership on NBC this season.
The past four NFL telecasts on NBC have now had increases in ratings and viewership.
Despite the strong numbers, NBC still has yet to reach the highs it hit last season. Four games at this point last year drew at least a 15.0 rating and five topped 25 million viewers. So far this year, one game has hit or surpassed those marks — the previously mentioned Kickoff Game.
Among adults 18-49, the game had a 8.6 rating — up 54% from last year (5.6) but down a tick from 2012 (8.7).
