Winter X Games Mostly Down on ESPN/ABC
- Winter X Games coverage drew a 0.6 final rating and 1.1 million viewers on ESPN Sunday afternoon, flat in ratings and up 17% in viewership from last year (0.6, 964K) and the lone window to have an increase. Primetime coverage drew a 0.6 (-14%) and 996,000 (-18%) on Saturday, a 0.6 (flat) and 900,000 (-8%) the night before, and a 0.4 (-20%) and 654,000 (-24%) on the opening Thursday. Liga MX Tops Soccer Charts Again, Albeit With Little Competition
- Saturday’s America/Puebla Liga MX Clausura match drew 1.2 million viewers on Univision, the most-watched soccer match of the week (with the caveat that there were no Premier League matches). The Univision family of networks has now aired the top soccer match in three consecutive weeks. So far this season, the Liga MX Clausura season has averaged 319,000 viewers on the Univision networks — up 15% from the comparable period last year. (Univision via TV By the Numbers)
Fewer Viewers For 24 Hours of Daytona
- Coverage of the 24 Hours of Daytona auto race drew a 0.4 final rating and 525,000 viewers on FOX last Sunday, down a tick in ratings and 34% in viewership from last year (0.5, 791K). The rest of Saturday’s action drew a 0.1 and 89,000 on Fox Sports 2 — flat and down 32%, respectively — and a 0.2 and 239,000 on Fox Sports 1.
