Ratings are predictably down for the Miami Heat, but the team’s local rating is still among the best in the NBA. In other news, the second F1 race of the season generated strong increases on NBCSN, and Fox Sports 1 earned its top MLS audience since the season opener three weeks ago.
Heat Ratings Down, But Still Among Best in NBA
- Miami Heat NBA regular season games have averaged a 4.95 rating on Sun Sports so far this season, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Monday — down 27% from last year (6.85), but still the fourth-highest average in the NBA. Only the Spurs (8.08), Cavaliers (7.29) and Thunder (6.38) have averaged a higher rating. Among men 18-34, ratings have actually increased 6% from 3.4 to 3.6. MLS on FS1 Tops Previous Two Weeks
- The Real Salt Lake/Toronto FC Major League Soccer match drew 211,000 viewers on Fox Sports 1 Sunday evening, the network’s most-watched match since opening weekend — with the caveat that there have only been two other matches. On the comparable weekend last year, NBCSN earned 157,000 for a Saturday afternoon United/Fire match. (Fox Sports)
