For the second straight week, a Cardinals game on Sunday Night Football fell to a season-low.
The Week 11 Bengals/Cardinals Sunday Night Football game, which was flexed onto the schedule to replace Chiefs/Chargers, had an 11.7 overnight rating on NBC — down 14% from Patriots/Colts last year (13.6) and down 30% from Chiefs/Broncos in 2013 (16.6).
The Cardinals’ win scored the lowest NFL overnight of the season on NBC, falling below the previous mark of 12.6 set by Cardinals/Seahawks one week earlier. No other game on the network has had less than a 13.0 overnight.
In addition to the season-low, Sunday’s game was just the second of the season on NBC to have a decline from last year, and the third to dip from 2013.
Cincinnati was Sunday’s top market with a 39.4 rating, the market’s highest for a regular season Bengals game on NBC since the network reacquired NFL rights. Phoenix ranked second with 31.7, with Dayton (26.4), Las Vegas (16.7) and Albuquerque (16.0) rounding out the top five.
