Madden Underwent Open Heart Surgery
- Former NFL analyst John Madden has been released from the hospital after undergoing open heart surgery, the NFL announced Thursday. Madden, whose 30-year broadcasting career included stints as the lead game analyst for CBS (1981-94), FOX (1994-2002), ABC (2002-2006) and NBC (2006-2009), is expected to fully recover. Musburger to Call Rose Bowl
- SEC Network play-by-play voice Brent Musburger will call the Stanford/Iowa Rose Bowl on ESPN January 1, marking just his fourth assignment for the network since his demotion from its lead broadcast team in 2014. Musburger, who called the Rose Bowl each year from 2007-14, was behind the mic for two ESPN games last season — the Orange Bowl and Alabama/Auburn during the regular season — as well as this season’s FCS Kickoff. Parker to Make SEC Network Debut
- Los Angeles Sparks F Candace Parker will make her debut as a women’s college basketball analyst for SEC Network Saturday, working Georgetown/Alabama alongside Jenn Hildreth.
