Big Gains For PGA Tournament of Champions
- Third round coverage of the PGA Tour Tournament of Champions drew a 0.9 final rating and 1.2 million viewers on NBC last Saturday afternoon, up 80% in ratings and 94% in viewership from last year (0.5, 639K) and up 50% and 49%, respectively, from 2014 (0.6, 834K). Final round coverage on Golf Channel scored 797,000 on Sunday, up 95% from last year (409K) and up 61% from 2014 (496K). All-American Bowl Sees Slight Bump
- Last Saturday’s U.S. Army All-American Bowl had a 0.9 final rating and 1.4 million viewers on NBC, flat in ratings and up 4% in viewership from last year (0.9, 1.3M), but down 18% and 19%, respectively, from 2014 (1.1, 1.7M). The 0.9 rating is tied as the game’s lowest since moving to NBC in 2004. (via SBD)

- The North Dakota State/Jacksonville State FCS national championship game scored 1.4 million viewers on ESPN2 last Saturday afternoon, off 7% from NDSU/Illinois State last year (1.44M to 1.35M) but up 9% from NDSU/Towson in 2014 (1.2M). Outside of an NFL Wild Card Game, the Bison’s fourth-straight title was the most-watched sporting event on the ESPN family of networks last weekend. (via SBD)
