Even by the standards of a weak NFL season, Raiders ratings have been subpar.
Sunday’s Week 11 NFL national window, featuring Patriots-Raiders in 86% of markets, had a 10.9 rating and 19.0 million viewers on CBS — down 20% in ratings and 22% in viewership from last year (mostly Eagles-Seahawks: 13.6, 24.4M) and down 30% and 31% respectively from 2015 on FOX (mostly Packers-Vikings: 15.5, 27.5M).
New England’s easy win ranks as the lowest rated Week 11 national window since at least 2000 and the least-watched in at least a decade.
The national window has now hit a multi-year low in eight of 11 weeks this season. This week’s telecast was the fifth of those to hit a decade-plus low in one or both measures.
In addition to hitting multi-year lows, ratings and viewership were the second-lowest for the national window all season (11 telecasts). Oakland’s previous appearance, against Denver in Week 4, holds the bottom spot (9.1, 15.6M).
Of the 22 “primetime” Sunday games this season — the 4:25 PM ET national window and Sunday Night Football — Oakland’s four appearances rank in the bottom nine.
Earlier in the day, regional coverage featuring Chiefs-Giants in 45% of markets had a 6.5 (-36%) and 10.7 million (-39%).
Not counting the 9:30 AM London games, it was the lowest rated and least-watched NFL window on broadcast this season.
