Sunday Night Football ratings hit a multi-year high in Week 13.
NBC’s Sunday Night Football (Patriots-Texans) averaged a 12.3 rating and 21.45 million viewers last night, marking the highest rated Week 13 edition of SNF since 2014 (Broncos-Chiefs: 12.5) and the most-watched since 2010 (Ravens-Steelers: 22.51M).
Five of the past seven Sunday night games have hit a multi-year high.
Houston’s win, which peaked with 23.7 million viewers in the fast-nationals, also delivered the largest audience yet for a primetime Texans game. The previous high was 20.99 million for another Patriots-Texans game in 2015.
Ratings and viewership increased 17% and 20% respectively from last year (Chargers-Steelers: 10.5, 17.83M) and 9% from 2017 (Eagles-Seahawks: 11.3, 19.69M).
Including a streaming audience of 533,000 (+73%), the game averaged 22.0 million viewers (+21%). NBC is now averaging 20.7 million viewers across TV and digital platforms (+4%), its highest 13-week average since 2015.
Seven of the network’s 15 games have topped a 12.0 rating and 21 million viewers, its most in a single season since 2016.
Locally, Patriots-Texans averaged a 34.0 rating and 56 share in Boston an a 29.2/49 in Houston. Patriots secondary market Providence, R.I., was the highest rated at a 34.9/54. Hartford (18.8/31) and Austin, Tex. (18.3/34) rounded out the top five.
SNF averaged a 6.2 rating in adults 18-49 (+16%) and a 4.2 in adults 18-34 (+8%).
