Facing growing social media discussion about his health, Fox Sports’ Terry Bradshaw revealed on Sunday that he has battled two forms of cancer in the past year.
During “Fox NFL Sunday,” Bradshaw announced that he was diagnosed with bladder cancer last November and a rare form of skin cancer in March, but that he is currently cancer-free. The disclosures come as Bradshaw’s on-air appearance and occasional struggles this season have fueled social media speculation about his health. Bradshaw: “Folks, I may not look like my old self, but I feel like my old self. I’m cancer free, I’m feeling great, and over time, I’m going to be back to the way I normally am.”
Bradshaw’s health issues were quietly acknowledged earlier this year when he had to cancel a series of planned shows in Branson, Mo., and the scheduled venue cited his need to rest after radiation treatments.
One of the NFL’s longest-tenured broadcasters, Bradshaw has been a FOX NFL analyst in every year the network has had rights and has worked continuously on NFL pregame coverage since joining “The NFL Today” on CBS in 1990. He began his TV career with CBS in 1984 after previous stints as a guest analyst from 1980-82.
