With the undefeated defending champions playing the team from the nation’s #1 television market, the NFL national window put up unsurprisingly strong numbers on FOX Sunday.
The Week 13 NFL national window, featuring Packers/Giants in 77% of markets, earned an 18.5 overnight rating on FOX Sunday afternoon, up 3% from Week 13 last year (DAL/IND: 18.0), but down 2% from the same matchup in Week 13 of the 2009 season (DAL/NYG*: 18.9).
The 18.5 overnight is the third-highest of the season for any NFL telecast, behind only the Week 9 national window (NYG/NE*: 18.6) and the Week 6 national window (DAL/NE*: 19.1).
Four of the season’s five highest rated NFL games in the metered markets have aired on FOX, with the lone exception being the NFL Kickoff Game on NBC (NO/GB: 17.2).
Overnights for the first half of Sunday’s doubleheader, featuring Broncos/Vikings in 61% of markets, were not available.
