The son of Boston Globe writer and ESPN personality Bob Ryan was found dead in Islamabad, Pakistan yesterday.
Keith Ryan, 37, apparently took his life, according to the U.S. State Department. Ryan was in Islamabad, working for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. Ryan leaves behind a wife and eight-year-old triplets.
Ryan’s father, Bob Ryan, told the Boston Globe, “the only word to describe the sensation is devastated … We will always have questions.”
In a statement, the publisher of the Boston Globe said, “I know that we join everyone who knows Bob in expressing our deepest sorrow at his loss. The thoughts and prayers of all Globe employees, past and present, are with him and his family.”
