Week 14 of the season was a dud for CBS, as both games of the network’s doubleheader suffered declines from last year.
The Week 14 NFL national window earned a 12.7 final rating and 20.789 million viewers on CBS December 11, down 27% in ratings and 32% in viewership from Week 14 last year (NE/CHI*: 17.5, 30.468M), and down 14% in both measures compared to Week 14 in 2009 (SD/DAL*: 14.7, 24.130M).
The telecast ranks as the lowest rated and least-viewed NFL national window of the season.
In a rarity, the national window drew a lower rating and fewer viewers than the singleheader window (CHI/DEN*: 13.6, 22.207M, FOX).
Earlier in the day, the first half of the CBS doubleheader earned a 9.3 and 14.535 million viewers, down 3% in ratings and 6% in viewership from last year (9.6, 15.498M), and down 4% and 7%, respectively, from 2009 (9.7, 15.656M).
