Though down slightly from last year, Sunday’s AFC Championship Game earned the second-best numbers for the early window strong numbers for CBS.
The Ravens/Patriots AFC Championship Game drew a 29.1 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, down 3% from last year’s comparable game (GB/CHI: 30.0, FOX), but up 3% from the comparable game in 2010 (NYJ/IND: 28.4, CBS).
The 29.1 overnight is the second-highest for the early Conference Championship game since at least the 1998-99 season (overnights prior to the 1999-00 season were not immediately available).
In addition, this marks the highest overnight for an afternoon AFC Championship Game since the 1993-94 season (KC/BUF: 29.5, NBC).
