1.9/5: College basketball on CBS, Louisville/Georgetown (12 PM Saturday)
1.7/4: College basketball on CBS, Florida/Kentucky (12 PM Sunday)

1.2: College basketball on ABC, regional (3:30 PM Saturday)
1.1/2: College basketball on CBS, Drake/Illinois State (2 PM Sunday)
1.0: NBA Countdown on ABC (3 PM Sunday)
- Thanks to better match-ups and a deep Western Conference, NBA ratings are up across the board. The 2.6 overnight for Spurs/Suns on ABC Sunday marked a 73% increase over the 1.5 for a lackluster Nuggets/Kings game last year. While ABC’s ratings figure to take a hit from March Madness, the network has three games that should hold their own in the ratings (Hornets/Pistons on Sunday, Spurs/Mavs on the 23rd, and Rockets/Spurs on the 30th).
- While ESPN drew huge numbers for UNC/Duke on Saturday night, CBS struggled for the second straight week. The final two games of the network’s Sunday tripleheader could only muster overnights of 1.1 and 1.2 — barely ahead of the NHL on NBC.
Auto racing.
5.6/12: NASCAR on FOX, Kobalt Tools 500 (1:30 PM Sunday)
- NASCAR ratings continue to surge. The 5.6 overnight for the Kobalt Tools 500 marks a 19% jump from the 4.7 for the same event last year. Much of that increase is owed to a change in dates; last year’s Kobalt Tools 500 aired on the first Sunday of the NCAA Tournament.
Golf.
1.9/4: PGA Tour on NBC, PODS Championship, Final Round (3 PM Sunday)
1.7/4: PGA Tour on NBC, PODS Championship, Third Round (3 PM Saturday)
- NBC drew mixed ratings for the PODS Championship over the weekend. Though ratings for final round coverage were down 10% from last year, ratings for the third round on Saturday were up 21%.
Other.
1.0/2: NHL on NBC, Penguins/Capitals (12:30 PM Sunday)
0.9: Visa Snowboardcross World Cup on NBC (2 PM Saturday, taped)
- Ratings for the latest battle between Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin were even from last year. So far this season, NBC is averaging a 1.2 overnight for seven NHL telecasts, up 9% from a 1.1 overnight through the comparable date last year. Excluding the Winter Classic, NBC is averaging a 1.0, down 9%.
