The second game of the Stanley Cup Final hit another five-year low in the overnights.
Game 2 of the Kings/Devils Stanley Cup Final drew a 2.2 overnight rating on NBC Saturday night, down 12% from Bruins/Canucks Game 2 last year (2.5), and down 46% from Flyers/Blackhawks Game 2 on Memorial Day in 2010 (4.1).
The 2.2 overnight is the lowest for any Stanley Cup Final telecast on broadcast since Ducks/Senators Game 3 in 2007 (1.5). The first two games of the Kings/Devils series rank as the lowest rated in the metered markets since that infamous 2007 series.
Kings/Devils was outdrawn head-to-head by ‘Baseball Night in America’ on FOX and Game 4 of the Spurs/Thunder NBA Western Conference Finals on TNT.
