The 2012 PGA Tour FedEx Cup got off to a slightly better start in the overnights Sunday afternoon.
Final round coverage of The Barclays, the first event of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup, drew a 2.7 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon — up 8% from 2010 (2.5), but down 27% from 2009 (3.7), when Tiger Woods finished second.
Last year’s scheduled final round was canceled due to Hurricane Irene.
The 2.7 overnight is the second-highest for the final round of the tournament since it moved to its current date in 2007, and the second-highest overall since 2004.
Saturday’s third round coverage drew a 2.2 overnight.
