The 2008-09 NBA schedule has been released, with a quintuple-header on Christmas Day.
ESPN, ABC and TNT will all televise games on Christmas, with Hornets/Magic tipping things off at 12:00 PM on ESPN. ABC will televise Suns/Spurs and Celtics/Lakers at 2:30 and 5 PM, respectively. TNT will finish things off with Wizards/Cavaliers and Mavericks/Blazers at 8 and 10:30 PM.
The season tips off on Tuesday, October 28, with Cavaliers/Celtics and Blazers/Lakers on TNT. In contrast to a previous report on this site, ESPN will not air a tripleheader on Wednesday, October 29, instead airing Suns/Spurs and Lakers/Clippers.
ABC will air 18 games this season, featuring only the Spurs, Suns, Celtics, Lakers, Mavericks, Cavaliers, Pistons and Hornets. The Hornets are only scheduled to make one appearance on ABC.
