The National League Championship Series has underperformed so far on FOX.
Game 4 of the Giants/Cardinals National League Championship Series drew a 4.2 overnight rating on FOX Thursday night, down 30% from Rangers/Tigers Game 4 last year, and down 36% from Phillies/Giants Game 4 in 2010.
So far, the Giants/Cardinals series has attracted overnight ratings of 4.7 (Game 1), 4.3 (Game 2), 3.1 (Game 3) and 4.2 (Game 4). The last three games have each been down from last year’s ALCS on FOX, and all four games have been down compared to the 2010 NLCS on FOX.
Thursday’s game was outdrawn head-to-head by a Seahawks/49ers NFL game on NFL Network (5.4). NFL Network is in over 40 million fewer homes than the FOX broadcast network.
