On yet another weekend, ratings for the PGA Tour plunged from last year.
NBC averaged a 1.2/2 overnight rating for final round coverage of the BMW Championship from 2-6 PM on Sunday, down 63% from a 3.2/6 for final round coverage last year. Third round coverage on Saturday averaged a 1.1/3 from 12-3:30 PM, down 58% from a 2.6 last year, when coverage aired from 3-6 PM.
Two day coverage of the event averaged a 1.2 overnight, down 59% from a 2.9 average in ’07.
Through three of four events, the final rounds FedEx Cup events have averaged a 1.5 overnight rating, down 52% from a 3.1 average last year.
