FOX earned solid numbers college football coverage on Saturday afternoon.
The Southern Cal/UCLA college football game drew a 2.7 overnight rating on FOX Saturday afternoon, up 170% from both Oregon State/Stanford the previous week (1.0) and TCU/West Virginia two weeks ago (1.0).
The 2.7 overnight is easily the highest of the season for afternoon college football coverage on FOX. The previous high was a comparably tiny 1.3 for Texas Tech/Kansas State in week nine of the season.
Head-to-head, USC/UCLA outdrew both Mississippi/Louisiana State on CBS (2.4) and Wake Forest/Notre Dame on NBC (1.7), but trailed ABC’s regional college football coverage (3.2).
Later Saturday, Oklahoma/West Virginia drew a 2.1 overnight — up 11% from Kansas State/TCU the previous week (1.9), but down 40% from Southern Cal/Oregon two weeks ago (3.5).
