The NFC Championship Game fell to a multi-year low Sunday, but still attracted a massive audience.
Last Sunday’s 49ers/Falcons NFC Championship Game drew a 24.2 final rating and 42 million viewers on FOX, down 12% in ratings and 14% in viewership from Ravens/Patriots on CBS last year (27.4, 48.7M), and down 14% and 19%, respectively, from Packers/Bears on FOX in 2011 (28.1, 51.9M).
The game ranks as the lowest-rated and least-viewed Conference Championship Game in the early window since Eagles/Cardinals in 2009 (21.9, 38.4M).
Overall, the 49ers’ comeback victory ranks as the fifth-least viewed early Conference Championship Game over the past decade (11 telecasts).
