Ratings were down across the board during the NFL’s Divisional Round.
The four Divisional Round games averaged a 16.9 rating on FOX and CBS, down 14% from a 19.7 for four games last year. The 16.9 average is the lowest for the Divisional Round of the playoffs since 2001, when games averaged a 16.6 rating.
Each game drew declining ratings, with the biggest drops coming for Chargers/Steelers (down 17%) and Cardinals/Panthers (down 23%). Cardinals/Panthers was the lowest rated Divisional game since 2000, drawing a 13.8 rating. Meanwhile, Ravens/Titans was the third-lowest rated game since ’03, and Eagles/Giants drew the lowest rating for a Sunday afternoon Divisional Game since ’03.
For the first time since 2002, none of the Divisional Round games drew a rating of 20.0 or higher. Last year, two games drew at least a 20 rating.
