NASCAR got off to a rocky start in the ratings.
The Budweiser Shootout drew a 4.1/7 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night, down 9% from a 4.5/8 for the same event last year. The 4.1 is the Budweiser Shootout’s “lowest overnight rating ever on FOX.”
Despite the lower ratings, FOX won handily won the night in total viewers and in the adults 18-49 demo.
Sunday afternoon’s Daytona 500 Pole Qualifying saw a steeper decline. Pole Qualifying drew a 2.1/5 overnight rating, off 22% from a 2.7/6 last year.
