NHL ratings continue to rise on NBC.
Last Sunday’s Stanley Cup Finals rematch between the Penguins and Red Wings drew a 0.9/2 final rating on NBC, up 13% from a 0.8 for last year’s comparable Ducks/Red Wings tilt.
Through last Sunday (3 games), NBC is averaging a 1.5 rating for NHL coverage, up 25% from a 1.2 through the comparable date in ’08 (4 games). The 1.5 average is NBC’s best through three games since taking over NHL rights in 2006.
All three of NBC’s NHL telecasts have seen double-digit increases in ratings.
