Ratings and viewership for the latest edition of “Sunday Night Football” were unchanged from the previous week.
The Week 3 Bears/Steelers “Sunday Night Football” game drew a 12.2 final rating and 20.5 million viewers on NBC, down 5% in ratings and 4% in viewership from Patriots/Ravens last year (12.9, 21.3M) and flat in ratings and down 1% in viewership from Steelers/Colts in 2011 (12.2, 20.4M).
The telecast ranks as the third of four on NBC this season to have a decline compared to last year. All three declines have been by single-digits.
Sunday’s game pulled in the same numbers as 49ers/Seahawks the previous week (12.2, 20.5M), which was delayed an hour due to rain.
Among adults 18-49, “SNF” had a 7.7 rating — down a point from last year (8.7), and down 7% from 2011 (8.3). As should be expected, the telecast defeated competing coverage of the “Emmy Awards” on CBS in ratings (12.2 to 10.8), viewership (20.5M to 17.8M) and adults 18-49 (7.7 to 4.9).
