The Packers’ comeback win over the Cowboys was easily the biggest draw of Week 15.
The Week 15 NFL national window, featuring Packers/Cowboys in 83% of markets, earned an 18.1 overnight rating on FOX Sunday afternoon — up 5% from coverage on CBS featuring Steelers/Cowboys last year (17.2), but down 7% from coverage on CBS featuring Patriots/Broncos in 2011 (19.5).
The 18.1 is tied as the fourth-highest of the season for an NFL telecast, matching last week’s national window (featuring Seahawks/49ers).
The network’s early window, featuring Seahawks/Giants in 32% of markets, drew an 11.1 overnight — up 3% from coverage on CBS last year (10.8), and 54% from coverage on CBS in 2011 (7.2).
The two FOX games drew a higher overnight than any other telecast in Week 5. The Bengals/Steelers “Sunday Night Football” game was the top non-FOX telecast, with a 10.9 overnight — down 28% from 49ers/Patriots last year (15.2), and down 4% from Ravens/Chargers in 2011 (11.3).
The CBS singleheader drew a 10.8, down 22% from coverage on FOX featuring Giants/Falcons last year (13.8), and down 28% from coverage on FOX featuring Washington/Giants in 2011 (15.0).
Finally, the Ravens/Lions “Monday Night Football” game earned a 9.7 — actually up 23% from last year’s Jets/Titans game (7.9), but down 10% from Steelers/49ers in 2011 (10.8).
