Overnight ratings for the Army/Navy game tied a fourteen-year high on CBS.
The Army/Navy college football game drew a 4.2 overnight rating on CBS Saturday afternoon, up a tick from last year (4.1), up 5% from 2011 (4.0), and tied with 2009 as the highest for the event since 1999 (4.9).
Excluding 2010, when the game drew a 3.5 overnight, Army/Navy has topped a 4.0 in the metered markets every year since moving to the week after the conference championship games.
Army/Navy earned the eighth-highest overnight for college football on CBS this season (19 total telecasts), and the fourth-highest for a non-Alabama telecast.
In other college football action Saturday, the Heisman Trophy Presentation drew a 2.7 overnight on ESPN — down 13% from last year (3.1) and down 7% from 2011 (2.9).
The 2.7 is the lowest for the event since 2010 (2.4).
