Overnight ratings for the 2014 Winter Olympics hit a low-point on Friday night.
Friday’s primetime coverage of the Sochi Olympics earned an 11.7 overnight rating on NBC, the lowest overnight of the Olympics-to-date. The previous low was an 11.8 overnight for ‘bonus’ coverage on the opening Thursday.
Overnights for the first Friday of the Vancouver Olympics were not available.
Locally, Minneapolis and Salt Lake City tied as the top markets with a 16.5 rating. Denver (16.0), Ft. Myers, FL (15.9) and Milwaukee (15.5) rounded out the top five.
Over on NBCSN, live Olympic coverage earned a 0.8 overnight, up 41% from London in 2012.
