ESPN’s most recognizable program is getting a face-lift.
Starting with Monday’s live 9:00 AM edition, ESPN’s SportsCenter will unveil new graphics, updated animation, and changes to both the BottomLine and the rundown of upcoming stories.
According to Sports Business Daily, the new graphics “include a new font, layout and colors.” Other changes include the move of the rundown from the right of the screen to the left, with the current story now placed at the bottom of the screen as opposed to the top.
The changes are “designed to coincide with the first live SportsCenter from [ESPN’s] L.A. studio,” which is set to debut early Tuesday morning.
SportsCenter has used its current graphics since June 2004, when the show first began airing in high definition.
