Double-Digit Declines For UFC on FOX
- The latest edition of the “UFC on FOX” earned a 1.6 final rating and 2.5 million viewers last Saturday, down 27% in ratings and 32% in viewership from the comparable telecast last April (2.2, 3.7M), and down 16% and 20%, respectively, from the network’s most recent UFC telecast in December (1.6, 2.5M). Saturday’s telecast earned the fourth-smallest audience ever for mixed martial arts on broadcast TV (16 telecasts). (Sat. numbers from Sports Business Daily)
Final Round of PGA Heritage Lowest Since At Least ’96
- Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Heritage tourament earned a 1.3 final rating and just under 2.0 million viewers on CBS last Sunday, the lowest rated final round of the event since at least 1996 (ratings prior to 1997 were not available). Third round action last Saturday drew a 1.3 and 1.8 million. (Sports Business Daily)
FS1 Earns Largest UEFA Semi Audience in Two Years
- The first leg of the Real Madrid/Bayern Munich UEFA Champions League semifinal earned 511,000 viewers on Fox Sports 1 Wednesday, the largest audience for a UEFA semifinal on a FOX network since the second leg between the same teams in 2012 (627K, FX). The match also earned the largest audience ever for UEFA soccer on FS1, which is in its first season of coverage. (Fox Sports 1)
