ESPN and Univision continue to attract some of their best numbers ever for the World Cup.
Monday’s Mexico/Croatia FIFA World Cup match earned 7.1 million viewers on Univision, ranking as the network’s most-watched group play telecast. The previous high was 6.8 million for Brazil/Mexico earlier in the tournament.
Including USA/Portugal on Sunday (6.5M), the three most-watched group play matches on Univision have taken place this year.
Meanwhile, ESPN earned a 3.4 U.S. rating and 5.7 million viewers for Saturday’s Germany/Ghana match — tying the network’s best rating for a World Cup match that did not involve the United States.
This year’s World Cup has included the six highest rated and most-watched non-U.S. group play matches ever on ESPN/ESPN2.
