Newly Promoted Andrews Done With CFB on FOX
- After being promoted to the lead NFL on FOX broadcast team, sideline reporter Erin Andrews will not return to Fox Sports’ college football coverage this season, SI.com reported Friday. Andrews had been the lead studio host for college football on FOX, and later Fox Sports 1, since joining the network in 2012. (SI.com)
Former ESPN Staffer Schwab Joins Sports Jeopardy
- Former ESPN coordinating producer and head of research Howie Schwab has joined the new Sports Jeopardy online game show as a consultant. Schwab, whose knowledge of sports statistics was eventually parlayed into the ESPN game show Stump the Schwab, was with ESPN for more than 25 years before being laid off in 2013. Sports Jeopardy is hosted by former SportsCenter anchor Dan Patrick. (Awful Announcing)
Golf Channel Anchor Joins Fox Sports
- Golf Channel anchor Holly Sonders has joined Fox Sports as the anchor for coverage of the U.S. Open on FOX and Fox Sports 1. Sonders, who had been with Golf Channel since 2011, will also serve as a sideline reporter for the NFL on FOX. (Fox Sports)
