According to Nielsen, the number of U.S. television homes will decline by two million for the upcoming 2014-15 season.
There will be 113.8 million U.S. television homes during the 2014-15 TV season, according to Nielsen estimates — down 2% from the 2013-14 season (115.8M) and down a fraction of a percent from 2012-13 (114.2M). This marks the smallest number of television homes since the 2007-08 TV season (112.8M).
Earlier Nielsen estimates indicated that there would be 116.3 million homes during the upcoming season.
Among the notable changes this year, Phoenix has supplanted Detroit as the #11 market. Tampa-St. Petersburg has also edged Seattle to rank as the #13 market.

* Because Green Bay-Appleton is not one of Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, Milwaukee is often used as the Packers’ home market.
