Overnight ratings were not too impressive for the NFL on CBS in Week 4.
The Week 4 NFL singleheader window drew an 8.2 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, down 13% from last year (9.4) and down 21% from 2012 (10.4). The 8.2 is easily the lowest overnight of the season for the singleheader window, falling well below the previous mark of 11.2 for Week 1 coverage on CBS.
Sunday’s telecast included the first of three NFL games from London this season, pitting the Dolphins against the Raiders. The 8.2 is the lowest for an NFL telecast that included a London game since 2009, when CBS drew a 7.5 for coverage that included Patriots/Buccaneers.
Overall, the 8.2 was the lowest of Week 4 on the broadcast networks, falling below the other Sunday games and Giants/Washington on Thursday Night Football (11.2).
