Third and fourth round coverage of Wimbledon drew a 1.1/3 overnight rating on NBC Saturday afternoon, down 35% from a 1.7/5 for comparable coverage in an earlier timeslot last year, and down 31% from a 1.6/5 in ’07.
Taped coverage on Sunday drew a 1.0/2, down 41% from a 1.7/4 in ’08, and down 29% from a 1.4/4 in ’07.
Overall, NBC averaged a 1.1 overnight rating for coverage of Wimbledon on Saturday and Sunday, the net’s lowest average for the first weekend of Wimbledon since at least 1998.
