Lost in the shuffle on a packed Saturday night, FOX still managed to carve out a small increase for college football coverage.
The Stanford/Oregon college football game drew a 1.7 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night, up 13% from Oklahoma/Texas Tech last year (1.5) but down 51% from USC/Oregon in 2012 (3.5). The 1.7 is the third-lowest of the season for a primetime game on FOX (seven telecasts).
Head-to-head, the Ducks’ blowout win trailed Auburn/Mississippi on ESPN (3.8), Notre Dame/Navy on CBS (2.4) and Saturday Night Football on ABC (2.1).
Over on Fox Sports 1, the Utah/Arizona State late game drew a 0.6 overnight and Kansas/Baylor drew a mere 0.2 during the afternoon.
